Do you have time to visit a museum? You are spoilt for choice. There is
the South Tyrol Museum of Archeology with Ötzi (the Iceman) Tyrol's
oldest inhabitant or the South Tyrol Museum of Natural History. Both are
in Bozen.
Perhaps you would prefer one of the many art galleries or the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff
Castle? Many castles, monasteries, churches and chapels are open for visitors.
You do not need to visit an 'official' museum where you pay admission. The small
church on the outskirts of a village often offers open-minded visitors a suggestive
insight into the everyday of past times. You can of course also visit the Museum
of Popular Culture in Neumarkt for this. You cast your eyes further south, for
example to the Arena of Verona, to MART, a Museum for Modern Art at Rovereto,
or to Venice.
