Das Wandergebiet in den Dolomiten
From Aldein:
from either Auer or Neumarkt pass by Montan for Aldein. There at the visitors'
car park for Geoparc or
below Lahner alpine pasture (approx. 25 min. by car). Descend via path no.
3, at first through the wood and finally down into the ravine (Taubenleck),
then follow the stream upwards until you reach Butterloch waterfall, and on
the right of the waterfall climb ladders up to the viewing platform. Here you
can decide if you take route no. 4 and afterwards route no. G back to Lahner
Alm, or continue up the ravine until you reach a height of 1,650 m in 'Gorz'
and then here route G back to Lahner Alm. Both climbs take you out of the ravine on the north side.
Walking time: there and back approx. 3 h, alternative route approx. 5 h
From Radein:
From either Auer or Neumarkt pass by Montan in the direction of Cavalese.
After Kaltenbrunn turn left for Radein. At the car park of the Geological
Museum you can for instance leave your car and go on foot to Zirmerhof.
Take route no. 3 from there as far as the crossing at Taubenleck. Continue
on the right on to the waterfall and then take route no. 4 back.
