Das Wandergebiet in den Dolomiten
We start on the former railway line at the entrance to the village past
the old station building. Climbing constantly this trail leads past orchards
and vineyards over the Glener Viadukt to the Weiler Glen, then through the
long illuminated tunnel above Montan to Schloß Enn and on to the Kalditscher
Höfen over trail no. 3. Opposite the holy image the path leads in turn
to the former railway line. You can continue on the path here to Pausahof
and then on to Kaltenbrunn. Or turn off at Pausahof into the old Fleimstaler
Straße, cross the national road and reach the opposite side of the
valley on to the 'Schwarzenbachwanderweg' via Pieglberg and Holen to Aldein
bridge. Cross the main road at Brückenwirt again and start the short
steep ascent to the Panorama walk. From here you return to Montan. Alternatively
you can take the scheduled bus at Brückenwirt.
An extensive variation leads from Aldein Bridge via Karnol and Auer to Montan
(walking time approx. 2 hours). You can also make a detour of Cisloner Berg from
Kaltenbrunn via Truden and Mühlen to Montan.
